Artwork for Teri Jonas

Teri Jonas believes that art is a reflection of the artist's inner self and journey through life. The bright colors and simple shapes of her house and barn paintings show a playful and joyous side, while a deep and calm serenity is present in her sensitive landscapes.Jonas, whose paintings are in national and international collections, has been painting for over 30 years. Largely self-taught, the Texas-based artist worked in watercolor for many years, gradually shifting to pastel during a transition period when she often used a watercolor underpainting with pastel on top. For the past 12 years she has been working exclusively in pastel, painting on a very fine sandpaper that holds the pastel well and allows the soft yet vibrant look which she prefers.

Teri joined Grand Image in 2006
